This is designed as a time to increase our understanding of the dynamics of leave-taking as it relates to the life of the church and the individuals who are leaving. It is not a time to reverse decisions nor to create guilt but to understand how change influences church life.
The following are some questions to assist the interview process. Other questions may arise as dialogue unfolds.
What gift from your relationship with this church stands out most in your mind as you leave?
How was local church different from what you expected it would be?
What are some experiences that have been important during your journey here?
How is local church different now from when you came?
What do you see as the strengths of this church?
What dreams would you have for this church?
What will you miss most in leaving this church and what will the church miss most?
