Frank Colon, Musician

Frank is an accomplished musician, composer/arranger, keyboardist and vocalist. As a child, Frank was greatly influenced by both church music and his parents. Frank’s father was a founding member of the Hispanic Gospel group named “The Voices of Sinai”. A group Frank would eventually join and for a period of 20 years, lead the group as its musical director. 

Frank studied music at the School of Performing Arts at Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, NY (performance/Composition). Frank has performed and/or taken part in music workshops at Julliard , The Lincoln Center Library Theatre, Town Hall and several off Broadway theatres; among them El Repertorio Español and El Teatro Rodante de Puerto Rico.

As a composer, Frank’s latest work is “A New Song/Algo Nuevo”, which is the theme song for the ABC Women’s Ministry Bible study program 2005/2007.

Frank is a native New Yorker (“The Bronx”), and is currently serving as Minister of Music at the Spanish-American Baptist Church, Union City, NJ.
