Moved by your love for God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and your committed desire to proclaim the message of redemption through Jesus Christ, are you now prepared to take upon yourself this holy ministry and to serve faithfully as a prophet and priest of God?
By the grace of God, I am ready.
Will you daily present your body as a living, holy sacrifice to God, which is your spiritual service of worship, and will you strive to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, the dedication of your body, and the subjection of your will?
By the grace of God, I will.
Will you promise to be diligent in prayer, in the reading of the Scriptures and in such studies and devotions as will increase your knowledge and love of God and His Kingdom?
By the grace of God, I will.
Will you daily seek from the Holy Spirit the enduement of power to minister effectively, the discernment of mind to know the will of the Lord, the strength of character to pursue with diligence the goal of spiritual maturity, and the warmth of heart that you might better know Jesus Christ and declare with compassion the message of reconciliation?
By the grace of God, I will.
Will you commit yourself to the proclamation of the complete message of Jesus Christ to the body, soul and spirit of men and women at home and abroad, or wheresoever the Lord might lead you until He comes again, or until such a time as you are taken into His presence?
By the grace of God, I will, not by my might, nor by my power but by His Spirit. Amen.
